Nicholas Laine is returning to the Masonic Con lineup for a second time and brings with him a wealth of experience and dedication to the Masonic Con stage. Initiated into Freemasonry in Mystery Lodge No. 174 – Grand Lodge of Manitoba in 1992, Laine has been actively involved in the craft for over three decades. From holding various officer roles in his Thompson lodge to affiliating with Burlington Lodge No. 165 and serving as Master in 2016, his journey exemplifies a lifelong commitment to Masonic ideals.
Currently representing his Lodge and the Hamilton District’s 12 lodges as the District Deputy Grand Master – Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario, Nicholas’ leadership and expertise are invaluable assets to the Masonic community. Additionally, he is an active member of Castle Island Virtual Lodge No. 190 – GRM, where he served as Master from 2016 to 2018 and Secretary from 2018 to 2023.
Outside of his Masonic pursuits, Nicholas is a seasoned practitioner in Judo, holding the rank of Shodan, and a Divemaster with PADI Canada. His extensive involvement in scouting, including achieving his Chief Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, underscores his dedication to community service and personal development.
