Bro. Ryan Flynn is a renowned Masonic artist and a past master of Ancient York Lodge No. 89 in Nashua, NH. For over a decade, he has created Masonic-themed artworks that have earned him worldwide recognition. His work has been featured in several publications, including the Philalethes Society, and his dedication to the craft was acknowledged with the Grand Master's Award for his painting “The Master and Apprentice” from the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania.
In 2016, Bro. Ryan became the first American to be chosen as an Ambassador to the Association of Masonic Arts. He gained worldwide attention with the completion of his portrait of Prince Hall, which was donated to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of North Carolina in 2021. His work is hanging in many lodges around the world and has been praised as “one of, if not the most influential American Masonic artist in the last fifty years.”
In addition to his artistic accomplishments, Bro. Ryan is also an avid speaker and has traveled extensively throughout the country speaking on the history of the Masonic arts, art history, and other esoteric topics. He is a past District Deputy Grand Education Officer for the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire and a current member of lodges in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and North Carolina.
